Yesterday we talked about our SIN problem. Remember that black bead? Point to the black bead. Remember we talked about everyone being a sinner and that we should try to stay away from SIN.
Today we’re going to talk about how much God loved us and what He did to fix our sin problem. Let’s look at today’s verse: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son.” He loves us more than anything and He has a salvation plan to fix our sin problem, making us a part of God’s family forever!
Jesus never did anything wrong! He was perfect, so God sent Him to take care of our SIN problem. Jesus is the only way that we can become part of God’s family! But how? How did Jesus take care of our SIN problem? Then what happened to Jesus next?
• We have a SIN problem! (Pound fist to fist as if fighting against God.)
•God loves US! (Make a heart with hands.)
• God gave us Jesus! (Tap the center of each palm and explain that is how Jesus hung on the cross.)
• When Jesus died, He took our sins away. (Wipe palms of hands back and forth to get rid of sin.
• 3 Days later Jesus came back. He rose from the dead. He proved that He was God and He invited people to join His family. (Lock fingers together.)
Hold on to the BROWN bead as we say this prayer. The brown bead is reminding us that God gave us Jesus!
Thank you Jesus for taking care of my SIN problem. Thank you God for showing me how much you love me by sending Jesus to our world. God, thank you for making a way for me to be part of your family. Thank you for the promise of heaven! I love you God. Amen.
