Student & Groups Manager
Waters Edge Church is looking for a full-time Student and Groups Manager to join our Yorktown Campus team. If you’re passionate about helping students and adults grow in their faith and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced church environment, this position could be perfect for you! You’ll lead both student and group ministries, combining your leadership skills with a heart for connection and discipleship.
Type: Full Time
Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday (with additional hours and flexibility required during the weeks leading up to Easter and Christmas), 40+ hours/week

Your Essentials:
● Strong leadership skills, with the ability to recruit, train, and develop both student leaders and group leaders
● Excellent communicator, both in written and oral forms, capable of motivating volunteers and engaging diverse audiences
● Proficient in managing your time and working on multiple projects with minimal supervision
● Passionate about helping students and their families know God, feel connected, and experience authentic life change
● Passionate about helping adults get connected to Groups so that they can grow in their faith, connect with others, and receive care
● Able to build strong relationships and deliver solutions that meet the needs of both students and group leaders
● Committed to the long-term vision, strategy, and values of Waters Edge Church and Lead Pastor Stu Hodges
● Adept at overseeing and ensuring excellence in both student ministries and group programs
Your Impact
● Oversee all student ministries and group leader activities at the Yorktown Campus
● Lead student ministry by recruiting and developing Student Coaches and Student Leaders, ensuring that leaders are equipped to foster a safe, engaging, and impactful environment for students
● Manage all group-related tasks, including identifying, training, and supporting new and existing group leaders and coaches
● Ensure every student and group member feels connected, known, and cared for by a leader
● Work closely with the Student Director and Campus Pastor to cast vision, develop strategies, and lead initiatives that grow the ministry and deepen engagement
● Assist with special events, training sessions, and all weekend services, including Christmas Eve, Easter, and Wednesday night student experiences
● Champion student and group ministries in the lobby and at special events, connecting new prospects to groups and monitoring the health and growth of existing groups
● Monitor group and student ministry metrics, reporting on health, attendance, and participation
